- Potential Imam Visit to ICP – Feb 29 to March 4th Insha’AllahAs we continue our Imam search, since October of last year we have received applications from 14 individuals with varying qualifications. Using a stringent qualification criteria (available for your review at (https://icpeoria.org/forms/
imam-post/)), the ICP Executive Committee and Advisory Board interviewed and unanimously selected Imam Mahjoob Jaily as a potential candidate for Imam at ICP.Imam Mahjoob Jaily has been invited to visit us for a in-person interview from Thursday, February 29th to Monday March 4th Insha’Allah.During this time he will be Insha’Allah giving Juma Khutba, Friday night lecture, hold interactive sessions with children, youth, sisters, and khatiras after Fajr and Isha.We encourage community members to attend these sessions, and provide feedback to ICP leadership before the final decision.Brief Introduction: - Imam Mahjoob Jaily was born in Sudan
- 14 years of experience as Imam (9 years in US, and 5 years abroad)
- PhD in Aqeedah from Omdurman Islamic University, Sudan
- PhD in General Education from Kennedy Western University, USA
- PhD in Applied Linguistics from Sudan University of Sciences & Technology
- Hafidh of Quran with Ijazah in teaching Quran
- Ijazah in the science of Hadiths of the Prophet (pbuh)
- Has been English teacher/professor in various schools/universities in US, Saudi Arabia, and Sudan.
- Married and has 6 children MashaAllah

- Alhamdulillah we had very successful Annual PMC Muslim Community Table Tennis Tournament this past weekend.Alhamdulillah we had 27 Adults and 11 kids who participated. Winners and runners up details have been sent via email. Jazakallah Khair to all volunteers who helped organize this tournament.
- Peoria Muslim Club (PMC) will be holding its Annual PMC Muslim Community Boys Basketball tournament on Saturday March 3rd from 8am to 1pm Insha’Allah. Details will be sent via email .
