- The Islamic Center of Peoria is honored to present a Special Guest Imam Sheikh Muadh El-Kholti from Morocco. Sheikh El-Kholti will, in sha Allah, lead the congregation in prayer for Isha and Tarawih salat on Friday April 22.
- We have daily short khatira related to Ramadan after Fajr (5 minutes), and after 4 Rakah Taraweeh about some key points from the Juz recited that day (10 minutes)
- Insha’Allah, there will be Tahajjud prayer at ICP during last 10 nights of Ramadan from 2:30 to 3:30am. Everyone is encouraged to join us.
Please Note: there is NO organized arrangement for Suhoor
- Brothers are highly encouraged to practice I’tikaaf in the last 10 days and nights of Ramadan to the best of their ability. If you are planning to make I’tikaaf please email Imam Burhan Hamdan at imam@icpeoria.org
- Zakat al-Fitr this year is $10 per soul (adults, children and unborn babies).
Zakat al-Fitr can be placed in cash or checks in the donation box at ICP in the slot marked “Zakat al-Fitr” on the men’s side lobby, and marked slot in the donation box by sisters entrance next to stairs and elevators. It can also be sent by Zelle treasurer@icpeoria.org
We will Insha’Allah start collecting Zakat al-Fitr from Friday April 22nd, and the last day of collection for Zakat al-Fitr is Friday April 29th, so that we can distribute the food items in a timely fashion to the needy people Insha’Allah
- Insha’Allah we have dinners here at ICP on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays for all community, and from Mondays to Thursdays at MSA Bradley Masjid for students and singles.
Last day of Iftaar will be on Saturday April 30th, 2022

- Henna Day for Sisters and Girls:
Insha’Allah there will be Henna activity for sisters and girls on Saturday April 30th from 10:00am to 3:00pm @ IFP Masjid Salaam, 823 W Salaam Dr, Peoria IL 61615
- Eid will be either on Sunday May 1st or Monday May 2nd, as per announcement of Chicago Hilal Committee.
Eid Salah:
Insha’Allah we will be holding Eid-ul-Fitr prayers at 7:00am and 9:00am.
Both prayers will be held at ICP, 4125 W. Charter Oak Rd, Peoria IL 61615.
7:00am Salah will be followed by a short khutbah to be completed by 7:30am. No additional arrangements for food, activities, or parking will be made.
9:00am Salah will be followed by brunch. Please bring 2 dishes to share: one for sisters and one for brothers. Can be any food item, sweets, juice, coffee etc..
Donation of $10 per person, or $20 per family are requested at door to cover expenses.
Eid Dinner:
Insha’Allah Eid dinner will be on same night of Eid, Sunday May 1st, or Monday May 2nd at 7:00pm.
In the past we had been doing Eid dinner at IFP Masjid Salaam. As we can all see, our community has grown MashaAllah. IFP committee has requested to move the Eid dinner to ICP to accommodate increase in numbers. Moving forward Eid dinners will be held at ICP, 4125 W. Charter Oak Rd, Peoria IL 61615 Insha’Allah.
Donation of $10 per person, or $30 per family are requested at door to cover expenses.
Games for Kids:
In the past we used to reserve half of ICP gym for inflatable games for kids, and other half for men’s brunch. As the community has grown MashaAllah, we cannot accommodate kids games and men’s brunch in half gym.
Instead of setting games outdoors at ICP and to avoid any weather dependency, moving forward all kids games on Eid will be setup in Community Center at IFP Masjid Salaam, 823 W Salaam Dr, Peoria IL 61615 Insha’Allah from 3:00pm to 6:00pm. This gives families enough time to go home after Eid brunch, rest and bring their kids for fun activities Insha’Allah.
Youth/Family Bowling:
Insha’Allah on Eid day from 3:00pm to 6:00pm there will be free bowling for our youth and families at Mt Hawley Bowling, 8200 N Hale Ave, Peoria, IL 61615 (Next door to IFP Masjid Salaam)
Families will have option to take their children back n forth between IFP and Mt Hawley, as both are reserved for 3 hours at same time to give children options
At conclusion, please join us next door at IFP, Masjid Salaam for Asr @ 6:15pm

- Daarul Uloom Quran Academy, which is a daily after-school Quran memorization program that runs from Monday to Friday from 3:30 to 5:45pm is looking for Quran teachers for the 2022-23 school year.
Interested candidates are requested to fill out the survey form sent in email by Saturday April 23rd. If any community member is interested to teach but does not have the required skills, Daarul Uloom Quran Academy will train them Insha’Allah.
