  • Currently, there is a significant increase in COVID cases, specifically in the Peoria Muslim Community. In addition, Peoria area hospitals have seen a spike in COVID patient admissions as a result.

Effective Friday, May 20, 2022 – ICP and IFP, in consultation with local doctors, have enacted the following rules:

    1. Proper use of face masks is MANDATORY in the Masjid
    2. Five daily Salah will continue
    3. During each congregational Salah (including Friday prayers), please skip a row to help enable social distancing before and after Salah
    4. During all non-Salah activities – including Friday khutbah and daily khatira – social distancing should be observed
    5. ICP and IFP highly encourage everyone to be fully vaccinated (including the booster), as after reliance on Allah, vaccination can help prevent the spread of COVID-19 in the community

If you or anyone in your household is sick / has been sick within the last 5 days with fever, cough, cold, sneezing, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, or shortness of breath – please DO NOT come to the masjid.

We will be reviewing the situation periodically and will inform the community of any changes.

 

  • ICP has opened the library to be used as a remote office and meeting room. Brothers over the age of 18 are welcome to use it on a daily basis. The wifi had also been upgraded. Please speak with the Imam or any shura member to get the password for the complimentary wifi access.

 

  • Imam has khatira daily after Maghrib and Isha on various topics. Community is encouraged to attend and benefit Insha’Allah.

 

  • Community is encouraged to fast 6 days of Shawwal. These days can be fasted consecutively or separately during the month of Shawwaal, according to what is easier for a person.

 

  • Daarul Uloom is offering 4 weeks of Summer Camp split in 2 sessions in weeks of June 21-30and July 19-28 Insha’Allah.
  • It is for ages 4 to 12. Registration and other details have been sent via email

 

  • There will be gaming/e-sports on Friday May 20 starting from Maghrib Insha’Allah. Registration and other details have been sent via email

 

  • Effective May 22, ICP is Insha’Allah expanding the sister’s sports activities time at the ICP Gym from May through September to include Sundays from 3-5:30pm in addition to the Saturdays 12-2pm. For more information, please contact Sr. Ameena Patel at ameenapatel@gmail.com
