- As per Chicago Hilal Committee, Ramadan will start on Wednesday, March 22nd or Thursday, March 23rd Insha’Allah. Please check ICP or Chicago Hilal website (chicagohilal.org) on Tuesday night for confirmation.
- We will be Insha’Allah emailing Ramadan prayer calendar, once start of Ramadan is confirmed on Tuesday night.
- As announced earlier, we will be having arrangements for Iftar/Dinner 3 days every week in ICP on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays Insha’Allah. Iftar/Dinner signup sheet is full Alhamdulillah.
If you haven’t signed up yet and intended to do so, please contact the host whose number is listed on signup sheet posted on notice board, or you can contact activities chair Br Adil Alikhan (activities@icpeoria.org) or Br Majid Alikhan, and they can Insha’Allah work with some of the hosts to arrange part of Iftar on your behalf.
- Ramadan Fair activity for women and children (ages 3yrs – 13yrs) is being held on Saturday, March 18th, 2023 after Dhuhur Salah till 5:00pm in the ICP Gym Insha’Allah.
Alhamdulillah we over 150 people registered. Registration has been closed.
Mothers need to be present with their children during the entire session.
- Ramadan clean up for ICP will be done on Sunday March 19th from Dhohar to Asr prayer Insha’Allah. Community members are encouraged to participate.
- Alhamdulillah we had a very successful boys and youth/mens basketball tournament this past weekend. Alhamdulillah we had over 81 players participated in all categories. Congratulations to winners and runners-up.
We want to say Jazakallah Khair to all volunteers who organized this tournament, and to all community businesses who sponsored it.
- Boys basketball weekly session which was held on Wednesdays has concluded for this season this past Wednesday Alhamdulillah.
Boys soccer weekly session which is held on Sundays will conclude this coming Sunday Insha’Allah. These activities will resume back in fall Insha’Allah
- Sisters activities on Saturdays 12-2pm, and Sundays 4:30-6pm has concluded for now. Insha’Allah will resume back after Ramadan
- Br Tarig Ali’s wife, Sr Huda Eltahir is in OSF undergoing treatment.
