- Alhamdulillah we had good participation in Imam Mahjoob Jaily’s programs, and received many feedback forms. The ICP Committee will update the community on our decision soon Insha’Allah.May Allah guide us to what is Khair for the community Ameen. - Ramadan will begin on either Monday, March 11th or Tuesday, March 12th as per the Chicago Hilal Committee. The announcement will be made Sunday night Insha’Allah. If Monday is the first day of Ramadan, Sunday night will be the first Taraweeh Insha’Allah. We will also send out the Ramadan prayer calendar on Sunday night Insha’Allah.
- Insha’Allah, ICP is organizing Ramadan crafts for kids to decorate the basement this coming Saturday, March 9th from 12:00 – 1:30 PM to prepare for the month of Ramadan, and a lecture by Imam Osama Alrefai titled “Role of Women in Ramadan” will take place at the women’s Musallah from 2:00 – 3:00 PM for our sisters. All sisters are encouraged to attend this very important lecture. Babysitting will be provided, Insha’Allah.
- Insha’Allah on Saturday, March 9th, we will be doing the Masjid, Gym, and Basement Community Hall cleanup from Dhohar to Asr in preparation for Ramadan. Sisters Musallah cleanup will start at 3:15 pm Insha’Allah.If you have any of your belongings in the Masjid like Jackets, Coats, Clothes, Shoes, Utensils, etc., please take them by Friday as everything that doesn’t belong to the Masjid will be trashed on Saturday.
- ICP will be Insha’Allah having arrangements for Iftar/Dinner 3 days every week in the Masjid on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Alhamdulilah iftar signup sheet posted on the notice board is full. If you intend to participate, please contact the host whose number is listed on the signup sheet or you can contact activities chair Br Asim Uzzaman (activities@icpeoria.org) or Br Majid Alikhan.
- Alhamdulillah Dates, Water Bottles, and Paper Products for the entire month of Ramadan have been sponsored by some families. May Allah accept from them Ameen. If you intend to sponsor or contribute partly towards any Ramadan related expenses like water bills, cilco bills, cleaning supplies, or garbage pickup, please contact ICP Treasurer Br Amer Al-Radeideh (treasurer@icpeoria.org).
- Alhamdulillah, we had a very successful Peoria Muslim Club (PMC) annual basketball tournament for boys, ages 8-13 this past weekend on March 2nd. Masha’Allah, this year we had 40 players participate in the tournament in all categories.Winner and runner-up team details have been sent via email. Jazakumullahu Khayran to all sponsors, Volunteers & Organizers.

- Br Rizwan Syed is in the ICU in Chicago. Please make dua that Allah gives him, and all sick of our ummah speedy recovery. Ameen!
- Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Ilahi Rajioon,Father of Sr Farah Rashad and father-in-law of Br Wasim Ellahi passed away in Pakistan. May Allah forgive the deceased, give him Jannatul Firdaus, and give patience to his family and friends. Ameen!
