- Last few days left for Shawwal. Brothers and sisters are encouraged to fast 6 days of Shawwal.
Abu Ayyoob (may Allaah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Whoever fasts Ramadaan and follows it with six days of Shawwaal, it will be as if he fasted for a lifetime” (Narrated by Muslim, Abu Dawood, al-Tirmidhi, al-Nisaa’i and Ibn Maajah).
These days do not have to be fasted immediately after Eid al-Fitr; they may be done consecutively or separately during the month of Shawwaal, according to what is easier for a person, although the best of good deeds are those which are done soonest.
- In Shaa Allah, the Islamic Center of Peoria is holding our Annual Clothing Drive in coordination with Helping Hand. The clothing drive will be on Saturday June 12th from 10:00am to 4:00pm.
NOTE: Clothes will be accepted/allowed to dropped-off on the SAME day (June 12th) during above mentioned time window ان شاء اللہ(In shā Allāh)

– Grandmother of Br. Ibrahim Shamsi passed away in Naperville.
– Uncle of Br. Robyat Hossain passed away in Bangladesh.
– Uncle of Sister Salina Ahmed passed away in Bangladesh.
– Brother in law of Br. Syed Ameenuddin passed away in India.
