Assalamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuhu,
We pray and hope that you are in the best of Iman and health.
The Governor of the State of Illinois has issued a “shelter-in-place” or “stay-at-home” Executive Order which becomes effective Saturday, March 21, 2020 at 5pm, in an effort to slow the spread of COViD-19. The Order is currently effective until April 30, 2020.
As a result, and with heavy hearts, the Islamic Center of Peoria will cease activities in compliance with the Executive Order.
This will require ICP to lock its doors at 5pm Saturday, March 21st, 2020 until the Order is lifted.
The five daily prayers remain an obligation and, due to the closure, we ask that you establish prayer at home. We ask everyone to pray in congregation (Jama’a) with their family.
We pray that Allah relieve all of us from this calamity, and give us patience, and make us among His thankful slaves.
